STRESS RESCUE COURSE   At Leisure Coast Dive, diving safety is our #1 concern, and we back that with perfect record of safety. The Stress and Rescue course is open to anyone who has completed the Open Water Course.
Stress is a major contributor to diving rescue situations or accidents. The Stress and Rescue course will improve your diving confidence and enjoyment by learning to recognize situations that can lead to problems. The SSI Stress Rescue Course focuses on accident prevention in order to reduce the necessity of accident management.
 
What will I do?
During your Stress Rescue course you will learn the causes and prevention of stress; detecting and dealing with diving related stress in you and your buddy; accident management procedures; rescue skills that assist the victim while protecting yourself; effective search patterns; dealing with situations which can complicate rescues.

What do you need to provide
All scuba equipment including a compass. Gear is available for hire at a price discounted from the standard rate.

You must also supply a slate, marker buoy/safety sausage

Course prerequisites
You must be 12 years of Age
You have completed open water or junior open water diver
Recognised 1st aid certificate which is current
 
What does the course include
Two training Dives
All air fills
SSI Stress and rescue training pack
SSI Stress and rescue Diver wall certificate
SSI Stress and rescue Diver Certification
 
 
How long will it take?
The Stress and Rescue course is conducted over a minimum of 2 days
The SIS Stress rescue course also works perfectly in conjunction with DAN Oxygen Administration.
 
Want to start?
In preparation for this course there is a manual which is required to be read as well as the dvd/vcd which has to be viewed in conjunction with the manual. A deposit of $50 will enable us to issue you the Specialty pack, containing all the educational materials necessary for the course.

$300 (including deposit) There is also a refundable deposit of $20 for the dvd/vcd
