In December of 2002 Parts of Bass Point were declared a GNS Critical habitat Site and as such there are rules which apply and fines are applicable NO night dives NO Scooters limited numbers of divers at any given time. no underwater air horns please check out the dpi website for all the rules or call in for the booklet

The Cities Service Boston Memorial remembers the Australian Soldiers who lost their lives going to the aid of sailors on the American Merchant Ship City Services Boston that ran into the rocks at Bass Point during a storm in May 1943.
